jed's first bus ride

this happened a few months ago, but its a cute little story. kaleb is going to summer school and catches the bus there. before the first day of school we took a practice run so he knew where to get on and off. jeddy came along for the ride and ended up making a friend. this old chinese guy played peek-a-boo with him for a few miles and when we got off they gave each other a knuckle bump.

our friend kathy threw kammy a baby shower at her house on the slopes of kaimuki. aunty sandra got a hold of our camera and started blasting photos of the sunset. mean.

so this guy is about 4 or 5 days old now and here's what i've learned about him: eat, nap, cry. i know that that's what babies do, but usually there's space/time between the three that a baby will just cruise. they're not hungry, but not tired enough to sleep so they'll just look around. not this guy. i think he's mastered the art of sleepcrying. he'll show us his eyeballs for about 45 seconds a day total. interesting. especially at bedtime when mommy and daddy wanna go nai-nai.

so we had another baby at home. 12 hours of labor - kammy was a champ! baby zack wouldn't be birthed without his right hand so it took a little long. but when he did, he slid out right into my arms. we had an awesome team... cathy leonardi the assistant, pastor/doula mari stewart, and midwife dr. lori kimata. what an experience!
